It is Spring!!!!!! Hopefully the cold weather is past and warmer weather awaits. However about September we may be saying, "It is Fall," thankful for the cooler weather. But there is just something about Spring that tends to put a spring in our step. Maybe it is because of Easter!! It is on Easter we celebrate the new life Christ has given to us. "Up from the grave He arose , and a mighty triumphant over His foes." Just that little bit of that song and the thinking of what Christ has done.....oh I might just have a spell.
I hope you are making plans now to worship with us on Easter. I know some of you will travel to worship with your family, but those not traveling why not make your plans now to be present at DSBC. Also use some of the "Hugs" and invite someone else to come worship with you on Easter. Who may know, but they may need a new life.
Also I am not sure I know of a time I have prayed so much over a time and preacher for revival. Just recently, through recruiting others to help me pray, I have sensed the Lord leading and our revival is confirmed. Reiny Koschel, Laurens Asso-ciation Associational Missionary, will be our guest speaker on April 18-19. Reiny will preach Sunday morning, night and Monday night. On Sunday afternoon I am asking for everyone to bring a covered dish so to have lunch immediately after the morning service. Prayerfully this will be a time for you to invite someone to services and have them stay to eat with us. Coming together as a meal tends to unite everyone closer together. Then on Monday night at 6:00 there will be a catered meal for the church leadership. Reiny will speak to the church leadership and preacher at revival service at 7:00pm. These are some chall-enging times and we need to be challenged to keep the faith and move forward.
April is going to be a great month and I can't wait to see what God is going to do.
